For the 90th anniversary of Godiva, we had the privilege to design and build the Godiva booth as well as the Premium Suite at the Tax Free World Exhibition in Cannes. The challenge was great for the needs of one of the world’s best chocolate producers was confronted with the complex rules of the Palais des Festival’s owners. We designed a path through the history of the company, an allegory of the packaging typologies, a presentation of sixty-six personalized confections by Belgian artist Oli-B, until the meeting room for twelve guests. Design initiatives and hopes needed to respect the context, the safety rules and the home-like areas of the Palais. It is a huge cinema after all, as well as a private property. That is where our experience and diplomacy made things happen.
